About the Role
We are searching for a meticulous and organized Crew Scheduling Senior Officer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our airline by creating and managing crew schedules for both flight deck and cabin crew members. You will work collaboratively with various departments to create fair and optimized rosters in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and operational needs. This role ensures optimal crew utilization while maintaining adherence to safety standards and minimizing any operational disruptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain crew rosters in accordance with flight schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of crew resources.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies, including crew duty time limitations, rest requirements, and other legal obligations.
- Coordinate with various departments, including Flight Operations, Flight Dispatch, and Training, to align crew availability with operational requirements and ensure optimal crew utilization.
- Analyze crew needs and proactively identify potential scheduling conflicts, proposing solutions to maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with crew members regarding their schedules, changes, and any other pertinent information.
- Address crew inquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts, crew absences, and other operational challenges in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of crew duty and rest times, and ensure data is accurately entered into the scheduling system.
- Generate and analyze reports related to crew utilization, compliance, and efficiency, to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-effectiveness.
- Act as the point of contact during irregular operations and emergencies to reassign crew as needed to maintain flight schedules.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in crew scheduling or a similar operational role in the airline industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in using Leon (or a comparable) crew scheduling & management software and related technologies, with the ability to navigate and utilize all its functionalities effectively.
- Thorough understanding of aviation regulations related to crew duty times, rest requirements, and other compliance issues.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze scheduling data, identify potential issues, and develop solutions to optimize crew utilization.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts and operational disruptions promptly.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with crew members and other stakeholders effectively, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to be a part of and support a shift-based work schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Proficiency in English.
