Marathon Airlines Partners with Universal Air, the Mediterranean's newest airline

Athens, Greece – May 22, 2024 – Marathon Airlines has entered into a new partnership with Universal Air, the Mediterranean’s newest airline. As part of this collaboration, Universal Air has wet-leased one of our Embraer E175 aircraft to enhance their summer capacity, operating from Malta International Airport across their network in Europe.

Commenting on this milestone, Marathon Airlines CEO, Captain Andreas Kaiafas, said, “We are pleased to welcome Universal Air as a valued partner. This cooperation is a testament to our commitment to strategic growth and providing airlines with flexible air solutions for their ACMI needs. By joining forces with Universal Air, we are not only strengthening our presence in Europe but also opening new doors to exciting destinations.
