Marathon Airlines is committed to the battle against human trafficking and slavery. Slavery and human trafficking are still pervasive in our culture, and Marathon Airlines will not tolerate them in our business or supply chain. Marathon Airlines is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all of its commercial dealings and partnerships and has taken steps to eliminate slavery from our own operations and supplier networks.
We can’t provide the great air transportation experience that has been our trademark without our dedication to honesty and ethical behaviour. We abide by all applicable laws and regulations of Greece, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the countries and regions where we do business, as well as our high ethical standards and societal ethical norms.

Our policies

Marathon Airlines has a set of internal procedures in place to ensure that its operations are ethical and transparent. Among them are:

  • Recruitment – Marathon Airlines has a strict recruitment procedure that includes checking all employees’ eligibility to work to prevent human trafficking and forced labour.
  • Code of Corporate Conduct and Ethics – Marathon Airlines’ code of corporate conduct and ethics policy ensures that all employees are held to the highest ethical and fair-dealing standards. Marathon Airlines is committed to abiding by all applicable laws in each country where it operates. All employees must follow all applicable laws, rules, safety requirements, and corporate policies when performing their duties.
  • Prohibited Business Practices – We ensure compliance against bribery, corruption and money laundering as set out by (UK Bribery Act 2010) and corruption (USA Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977)
  • Health and Safety – We outline a robust approach to ensure a healthy working environment for our employees and contractors.
  • Marathon Airlines Safety Management Reporting – Employees can anonymously raise concerns about how they or their colleagues are being treated, or practices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisal.

Suppliers and Third-Party Oversight Marathon Airlines’ global suppliers include but are not limited to: aircraft manufacturers, maintenance service centers, training and simulators, catering, handling, facilities, airport and ground services.


Before permitting any supplier to begin performing services or delivering goods, Marathon Airlines performs due diligence on them. Due diligence includes the evaluation of regulatory licences and certificates, compliance with such regulatory organisations, financial soundness examinations, and, when necessary, supplier audits.
